To Create the E-Portfolio:

You will create an electronic portfolio for the Graduation Project using google sites from your school-appropriate google account.  You will begin this e-portfolio in your English III class.  Follow the instructions below to create your e-portfolio:

1.  Log in to google gmail account.
2.  Go to “More” tab at top and select “Even More.”

3.  Scroll down to “Home and Office” and click “Sites.”
4.  Create new site by clicking red create button..
5.  Choose Blank Template.

6.  Name your site:  “First name Last name E-Portfolio” ex.  Kimberly Livaudais E-portfolio
7.  Choose a theme.

8. Type in security code and create.

9.  Go to share (blue button at the top) and change share settings to anyone with a link.  Then share your link with me.  Then click your portfolio name to get back to the homepage.

10.  Click on More at top of page and click Edit Site Layout.

11.  On the sidebar, Click on Home and Navigation.

12.  Uncheck “Automatically Organize my Navigation.”  Click Okay.

13.  Click Add Page.  Click OK.  Then click close and go back to homepage.  Then click the blue Close button at the top.
14.  On home page, go to the new page button with the plus on it and create a new page.

15.  Name the page “Resume”  Under template, choose webpage.  Put page under home.  Click create.  Save.  Click on More.  Go to page settings.  Uncheck shows links to sub-pages.  Check the  box that says show this page in the sidebar.  Save. Go back to homepage.

16.  On home page, go to create new page.

17.  Name the page “Personal Statement” Under template, choose webpage. Put page under home. C Click create.  Save.  Click on More.  Go to page settings.  Uncheck shows links to sub-pages.  Check the  box that says show this page in the sidebar.  Save. Go back to homepage.

18. On home page, go to create new page.
19. Name the page “Letter to the Judges”  Under the template, choose webpage. Put page under home.   Click create.  Save.  Click on More.  Go to page settings.  Uncheck shows links to sub-pages.  Check the  box that says show this page in the sidebar.  Save. Go back to homepage.

20. On home page, go to create new page.
21.  Name the page “Junior Research Paper” Under the template, choose file webpage. Put page under home.  Cli Click create.  Save.  Click on More.  Go to page settings.  Uncheck shows links to sub-pages.  Check the  box that says show this page in the sidebar.  Save. Go back to homepage.

22. On home page, go to create new page.

23. Name the page “Johnston County Graduation Project Steps, Obstacles, & Successes.” Under the template, choose file webpage. Put page under home.  Click create.  Save.  Click on More.  Go to page settings.  Uncheck shows links to sub-pages.  Check the  box that says show this page in the sidebar.  Save. Go back to homepage.

To Create Sidebar items for Essential Question and Thesis statement:

1.  Go to your homepage.

2. Click “More” and Click Site Layout.

3.  Go to navigation buttom and click the + sign..

4.  Scroll to Text and click Add.

5.  Edit the text box to include the title Essential Question and then add your essential question.

6.  Repeat instructions to add a textbox and include your thesis statement and essential question.

7.  Repeat instructions to add a textbox and title it Product.
